New Delhi: Spectators turned up in huge numbers to cheer their respective teams on Day 1 of the historic Day-night Test between Australia and New Zealand at Adelaide on Friday.

A lot was said and written about the Test, where pink ball will be used and the crowd made sure they backed their cricketers for the remarkable move.

According to cricket.com.au, the Day 1 crowd was up to 44,405!

Australia sent the Kiwis on the backfoot on the opening day as the Brendon McCullum-led side was reduced to 173/7 by the Aussie bowlers.

According to latest reports, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets and two wickets respectively, while Tom Latham top scored for the Black Caps with a 50-run knock at the top of the order.
