#Mumbai: Overs: 75 Score: 201/6

Stumps:The moment for which every fan was waiting has arrived. Sachin Tendulkar has slammed his 115th First Class half-century. But his partners are falling in quick succession. Mumbai have lost their sixth wicket. Mohit bowled a length delivery outside off which Hiken lofted toward the mid-off, but Jadeja took an excellent catch, and caught him. Hiken scored 8 runs off 17 deliveries including a boundary. At the close of play, Kulkarni was at 6, while man of the day, Sachin Tendulkar was at 55. The fans would be delighted. They get one more day to see SRT play. Mumbai need 39 runs to win.

Double blow for Mumbai. In the 62nd over Hooda provided his team the fourth breakthrough of the innings. He got the wicket of Nayar, who tried to drive the balls through covers but got the inside edge and the ball dislodged the bails. Nayar got out after the scoring 24 runs in 49 balls. After the gap of an over AP Tare who came in to bat after Nayar’s wicket got run out when he tried to steal the second run, without scoring a run. But the good news is that Sachin Tendulkar is still at the crease playing on 38.

#Mumbai: Overs: 60 Score: 154/3

Ashish Hooda was introduced into the attack in the 155th over. Tendulkar is looking in no hurry at the moment. It seems as if he wants to enjoy his last domestic innings and the Master Blaster completely deserves it. Man of the hour is leaving many balls for the wicketkeeper. But at the same time showing the full face of the bat to ones that are pitching in the middle and leg line, still a treat to watch. Sachin has reached to 35. Mumbai need 86 runs and they still have seven wickets in hand.

In the 52nd over Tendulkar cut Patel for four over point region. It was a short and wide ball and Tendulkar smashed it to collect his third boundary of the innings. It was the only boundary scored in the last five overs. Tendukar is playing on 32 off 65 balls, whereas Nayar is on 20.

Yadav made a huge appeal for caught behind against Tendulkar in the 46th over. But the umpire was not convinced, much to the relief of the fans. The next over saw a brilliant boundary from the master blaster. The length delivery pitched outside off and Tendulkar hit it between second slip and gully. This took up his score to 17 runs. He added two more runs in the next over. Nayar is at 12 runs off 17 balls including a boundary.

Mumbai require another 113 runs with 7 wickets remaining.

Mumbai have lost their third wicket. But, Sachin fans need not panic. He is still at the crease. It’s Pawar who has been caught out. The extra bounce of the Sharma delivery surprised him, and wicket-keeper Saini missed no chance to catch it. Pawar scored 47 off 136 balls with five boundaries. Abhishek Nayar joins Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin is at 13 off 29 balls including a boundary.

Mumbai require another 131 runs with 7 wickets remaining.

The moment has arrived. The 36th over finally sees Sachin Tendulkar walking to the crease amidst huge chants from the crowd. Rahane is out. The partnership of 86 runs has come to an end. He got trapped in front as Yadav’s delivery knocked off the off stump. Rahane scored 40 off 92 balls including four boundaries.
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has walked for one last time at a Ranji match and the audience wants to see him score. Unlike in the last innings where they were disappointed with his 5 runs.

Mumbai require another 142 runs with 8 wickets remaining.

After the initial hiccup, Mumbai have managed to score without loss of wickets. Pawar and Rahane are at the crease while Jayant Yadav opened the bowling post lunch. He was joined by Mohit Sharma from the other end. Pawar is at 29 runs off 93 balls with four boundaries while Rahane has three boundaries in his 29 off 78 balls. Mumbai require another 174 runs with 9 wickets remaining.

The crowd has to wait for Sachin Tendulkar.

Wasim Jaffer and Kaustubh Pawar have opened the batting for Mumbai while Mohit Sharma has the new ball. Harshal Patel is bowling from the other end. Haryana got their first breakthrough, right in the second over. Patel delivered a length ball pitched outside off but touching the outside edge of the bat it went straight to the keeper Saini. Jaffer goes after scoring 1 run. Pawar is now joined by Ajinkya Rahane. Mumbai require another 192 runs with 9 wickets remaining. Meanwhile, crowds have thronged the Lahli stadium just to see Sachin Tendulkar. Some outside the stadium were even quoted saying today that they do not care about the result; they are here only for one man.

The hosts have gained an invaluable overall lead of 239 runs, having bowled out Mumbai for 136 in their first innings. Haryana had scored 134 in their first essay. All eyes on Mumbai and Sachin Tendulkar now.

Joginder Sharma took the limelight with a five-for while Sunny Singh led a spirited batting effort as Haryana staged a remarkable fight-back to leave their Ranji Trophy opener against defending champions Mumbai evenly poised. Seeking to make a comeback into the Indian team, Mumbai captain Zaheer Khan picked up four wickets, including two at the fag end of second day`s play, to leave Haryana at 224 for nine when stumps were drawn.
