Chennai: Jharkhand made 181 for four against Tamil Nadu on a truncated second day in the under-19 cricket league match for the Cooch Behar Trophy here.
First day’s play was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to incessant rains. The match commenced only at 12.00 noon today due to wet conditions of the outfield.
Put in to bat first, Jharkand opener Pappu Kmar Singh and Babul Kumar steadied their innings scoring 42 (128b, 4 x 4) and 54 (187b, 6x4) respectively.
Babul Kumar went on to further consolidate their innings by adding 83 runs in 29.1 overs for the third wicket with Aashish Kumar (47-92b, 5x4 1x6).
