Jaipur: A fine unbeaten half-century by Murtaza Ali helped Madhya Pradesh crush Rajasthan by 66 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Central Zone Twenty20 cricket league match here on Sunday.
It was a bad day for the hosts, who had registered two impressive victories in earlier matches, as they failed to pose any challenge to the visitors today.
After Rajasthan put Madhya Pradesh in to bat, Murtaza Ali hit a brisk 35-ball 67 not out to help his team put up a total of 165 for 7 in 20 overs.
In reply, Rajasthan got bundled out for a mere 99 in 17 overs. It was a result of a poor planning by the hosts.
Madhya Pradesh: 165 for 7 in 20 overs (Murtaza Ali 67 n.o., Monish Mishra 30; Afroz Khan 3/37).
Rajasthan: 99 all out in 17 overs (Aakash Chopra 22; TP Sudhindra 3/18).
