Kochi: Maharashtra were 217 for 4 in their first innings, on the second day of their four-day Ranji trophy Plate League Group B match against Kerala, at the Jawaharlal Nehru International stadium here on Thursday.

At close of play S D Adhitkor was batting on 59 and R H Motwani batting on 31.

Only 27 overs play was possible due to the wet condition of the outfield and bad light towards the end of the day.

Sony Cheruvathur was the successful bowlers for Kerala claiming 2 for 73.
