Muzumdar was batting on 56 off 113 balls when stumps were drawn on the first day at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium. Even as Saurabh Bandekar finished with three wickets for Goa, the hosts` Prasanth Kumar and Syed Sahabuddin were unfortunate to have missed out on fifties. While Sahabuddin scored 49, Prasanth had to be contend with 48. Ag Pradeep contributed 31. Duvvarapu Shivkumar was giving Muzumdar company on 22 at stumps.
