London, May 05: Oscar winning actor-director Mel Gibson turned a hero for local shoppers in Malibu after he struck a deal with the paparazzi to prevent causing discomfort to the general public during a recent shopping spree. Irritated by the media attention that was causing a ruckus in the store, Gibson stepped out and bargained with the paparazzi to leave the store, promising them shots later on, Contactmusic reported.

"You`re bothering the people inside the store. I`ll just come back and give you a shot so you can stop bothering the people inside the store," Gibson said. `Braveheart` star kept his word by giving the photographers the desired shots.
