Drunk cops guarded Dhoni, CSK at Taj Hotel

It has been revealed that the Chennai IPL team was being protected by inebriated policemen during its stay at the Taj Hotel.

Chandigarh: In a shocking incident, it was revealed that the Chennai Super Kings IPL (Indian Premier League) team, which is led by Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, was being protected by inebriated policemen during its stay at the Taj Hotel. The Chennai Super Kings were in Chandigarh to take on Kings XI Punjab in an IPL encounter that took place on April 13. According to sources, two cops, sub-inspector Butta Singh and constable Paramjit Singh, were suspended after being found in a drunken state outside the team hotel on the night of April 12.DSP Roshan Lal said that the duo was found under the influence of alcohol by inspector Parveen Kumar after which they were taken to Government Multispeciality Hospital for a medical examination, where the presence of alcohol in their bloodstream was confirmed. Quoting sources, a leading daily said, “Injured Darshan was also appointed in the security of CSK team at the hotel but he had gone to the market of Sector 22 on April 12.” The latest incident has once again put a question mark on the security being provided to the cricketers. Sources in the police station also revealed that the two had left their point of duty to go and buy liquor from sector 22.
