Kolkata: Eden Gardens should be one of the five venues for the ODI series against West Indies in October-November, CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya said on Friday.
The BCCI is expected to announce the tour itinerary of the upcoming three Test and ODI series against the Caribbeans at its Board`s Tour Programme and Fixture Committee tomorrow. "It`s been a long time that Eden hosted an ODI. I am sure and we are pretty confident of Eden being one of the venues of the ODI series (against the West Indies)," the former BCCI and ICC chief told reporters today. The 74-year-old cricket administrator is set to be re-elected as the CAB president uncontested at Sunday`s annual general meeting which has been in the news for former India captain Sourav Ganguly`s inclusion to the state body as joint secretary. Dalmiya said it`s unlikely that Ganguly would be present during the AGM as he was "quite busy" with his commentary assignment during the third Test beginning Sunday. "It seems to me that he will come only after the Test gets over. Probably he will come for two-three days and take charge," Dalmiya added.
