England pacer Broad hobbles out of Dubai net session

Dubai: England right-arm fast bowler Stuart Broad suffered "heavy bruising" after a ball struck his foot in the nets here on Sunday.

Broad, 25, was given treatment to his left foot but was not sent for a scan and is expected to train on Monday, the BBC reports.

Broad was rested for England`s final preparation before the first Test against Pakistan in Dubai on Tuesday.

Anderson said he expected Broad to be part of the bowling attack.

"It`s just part and parcel of cricket. You do get the odd knock from time to time," he said.
