England wants Broad to be team`s ‘warrior enforcer’

London: England bowling coach David Saker has rallied in support of out-of-form fast bowler Stuart Broad. Saker said Broad will become England’s ‘enforcer’ as they look to strengthen their pace attack.

“We want him to be the enforcer in our team. When Stuart bowls, you can tell there is a lot of vengeance and aggression behind it and there is no better bowler in the world than Stuart at bowling bouncers” Saker was quoted as saying by The Daily Express.

Broad has grabbed just six wickets at an average of 56.33 in the ongoing test series against Sri Lanka.

“He wants to attack and he is warrior-like. We like it when he’s aggressive. We want him to be like that. It is just a matter of time before he turns it around and he just needs games under his belt for the wickets to come” Saker added.
