Gayle insists verbal feud with Haddin ‘talk of past’Sydney: Explosive West Indies batsman Chris Gayle has claimed his verbal feud with Brad Haddin is a talk of the past, adding that he is focused on regaining his lost form to help his Big Bash League (BBL) team Sydney Thunder earn their first win of the Twenty20 tournament.

Haddin had questioned Gayle`s value to the winless Thunder after a BBL season in which the 33-year-old international has scored just 70 runs in five innings, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Gayle responded to Haddin’s rant on Twitter by saying: “Not my fault he ain`t good as I am even if I bat right hand.”

The Thunder are already out of finals contention after losing their opening six games of the season.

Gayle said he had put his dispute with Haddin in the past, and was desperate to guide the Thunder to a win in Friday night`s clash with the Perth Scorchers at the WACA Ground.

The swashbuckling opener said the verbal exchange with Haddin is just one of those things that happens to everyone, adding that he has put it behind him.

Gayle added he would try not to be too negative for these sorts of things, and said Haddin had played his part in the row, adding that the feud is history now.
