Glenn Maxwell can't wait for World Cup to start

New Delhi: Australia take on England in their World Cup opener on Saturday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and star sensation Glenn Maxwell is all excited and ready for the big encounter.

Australia who beat England thrice including the final in the recently concluded Carlton ODI tri-series involving India, start as favourites.

Maxwell who contributed largely in the final encounter will be pivotal for the Aussie brigade under the leadership of George Bailey in their first game of the mega event.

The big hitting star reckons that he will not be having a very good night's sleep with the World Cup being so close. There is also a big sense of excitement built up ahead of the big day.

Maxwell expressed his views through social micro-blogging site, twitter.

The in-form batsman who smashed a blazing 122 against India in the warm-up game last week, will also be pretty handy with the ball. Maxwell is expected to lead Australia's spin attack if Xavier Doherty is restricted to the bench.

Maxwell have so far taken 28 wickets in 41 ODIs at an average of 38.03 and will look to be handy for the hosts against England in Melbourne on Saturday.
