India's Test skipper has stolen a march over Dhoni when it comes to displaying a sticker on his bat.
New Delhi: When lists of the richest sportsmen in the world are compiled, India's ODI and T20I skipper MS Dhoni always features prominently in them.
The wicketkeeper-batsman leads the pack as the earning Indian cricketer, with brand endorsements contributing significantly to his income.
However India's Test skipper has stolen a march over Dhoni when it comes to displaying a sticker on his bat.
According to a report in the Times of India, Mahi is paid Rs 6 crore by Spartan, while the Delhi batsman gets around Rs 8 crore from MRF.
Kohli earns another Rs 2 crore for endorsing shoes and apparel on the pitch.
While Virat is paid around Rs 5 crore by the brands he endorses, Dhoni gets Rs 8 crore.
Other Team India stars too are handsomely rewarded for placing stickers on their willows.
Yuvraj Singh - Rs 4 crore (Puma)
Suresh Raina - Rs 2.5-3 crore (CEAT)
Rohit Sharma - Rs 3 crore (CEAT)
Shikhar Dhawan - Rs 3 crore (MRF)
Ajinkya Rahane also makes around Rs 1.5 crore for his bat, shoes and apparel together.
Among the international stars, only AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle earn at the same level as the Indian batsmen.
While the South African is paid Rs 3.5 crore for his bat sticker, the big-hitting West Indian rakes in Rs 3 crore from his deal with Spartan.
