Hyderabad bowl out Goa for 147

Porvorim: Hyderabad pacers Anwar Ahmed and M A Khader captured three wickets each as hosts Goa were bowled out for a paltry 147 in their first innings on the first day of the Ranji Trophy Plate Division Group `B` match on Tuesday.

In reply, Hyderabad were 61 for the loss of two wickets when stumps were drawn for the day.

Goa, who were invited to bat first, found the going tough and lost wickets at regular intervals.

Only Abhishek Raut showed some resistance scoring 41 runs in 78 balls with three hits to the fence and two towering sixes. Opener Vaibhav Naik chipped in with 23.

For Hyderabad, pacers Anwar Ahmed and M A Khader bagged 3 wickets while conceding 31 and 19 runs respectively, while medium pacer Kanishk Naidu and left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha captured two wickets each.

The visitors lost the wickets of skipper D B Ravi Teja (15) and T Suman (2), with Akshat Reddy (41) and B Sandeep (1) at the crease at the end of day`s play.

For Goa Saurabh Bandekar and Robin D`souza bagged a wicket each.
