Ian Bell joins England`s 100-cap clubLeeds: Ian Bell became the 12th man to play 100 Tests for England when he was named in the side to face Sri Lanka at Headingley on Friday.

AFP Sport looks at the other 11 players to have appeared in 100 Tests for England and how their landmark match went for them (player, total caps, 100th):

1) Alec Stewart 133 caps (100th: 105 v West Indies, Old Trafford, August 2000, match drawn)

2) Graham Gooch 118 caps (100th: 17 and 18 v India, Eden Gardens, Calcutta, Jan 1993, lost by 8 wkts)

3) David Gower 117 caps (100th: 13 and two v West Indies, Headingley, July 1998, lost by 10 wkts after which Gower dropped)

4) Mike Atherton 115 caps (100th: 1 and 28 v West Indies, Old Trafford, August 2000, match drawn)

5) Colin Cowdrey 114 caps (100th: 104 v Australia, Edgbaston, July 1968, match drawn)
