Convincing victory for Pakistan as they crush UAE by 129 runs in a Pool B encounter at Napier, New Zealand. UAE batsmen looked under immense pressure while chasing the imposing total of 339. They kept losing wickets and never looked in contention to chase down the total. It's a crucial victory for Pakistan. For the 93-run knock opener Ahmed Shehzad was rewarded with Man-of-the match award.

While chasing the mammoth total of 339, UAE kept losing wickets from the start and they never quite recovered from the early blows. With the score of 62, star batsmen Shaiman Anwar once again remained the highest scorer for UAE.

In the 46th over, Amjad Javed picked Sohail Khan to hit him for two massive sixes along with two boundaries to collect 21 from the over. It's quite frustrating for Pakistan bowlers. .

Though the target is looking far away from UAE's reach but they are not ready to throw in the towel.

Finally, Sohaib Maqsood breaks the partnership. In trying play an innovative shot over short fine leg fielder, Khurram gave a simple catch to Wahab Riaz, as he couldn't play the shot with perfection. And with that his fine knock came to an end. Meanwhile, UAE have crossed the 100-run mark in the 28th over.

UAE are in deep trouble.

After losing first wicket early in the innings, Ahmed Shehzad and Haris Sohail are playing sensibly in the middle. Shehzad is playing is natural game which is helping to go for his shots. Sohail is playing according to the merit of the ball. But both the strike bowlers of UAE -- Mohammad Naveed and Manjula Guruge -- bowled an excellent first spell.
