London: England limited-overs coach Ashley Giles said that batsman Ian Bell is their ideal choice as a cover for Eoin Morgan and Alex Hales for the their Twenty20 squad.
Giles said that Bell, who has played seven T20s so far, is a world-class `player`, `fielder` and `bloke` and added that Bell has got the ability to play all the different roles required to cover for Morgan and Hales.
According to the BBC, Giles revealed that although Bell was not in the original 30, but with Morgan and Hales missing with knee and thigh injuries respectively, he is now a part of the upcoming World T20 squad for England.
Meanwhile, Giles, who had coached Bell in Warwickshire, also believes that he is the right man to become England`s team director and reportedly admitted that he was `very interested` in the job following Andy Flower`s resignation.
