Q de Kock c Dhoni b Kumar 6 (4b) ============================================================== TOSS: Faf du Plessis has won the toss and South Africa will bat first. While South Africa would want to move a step further to end their ICC trophy drought, MS Dhoni and his boys would want to continue their unbeaten run in the tournament. India have had tremendous success in the series so far. Most of their batsmen have scored runs, and their spinners have looked the best lot in the series so far. The only concern for India was the form of Yuvraj Singh, but the southpaw silenced his critics with a tremendous knock under pressure, against the Aussies in their final match of the group stage. India had a forgettable stay in South Africa earlier this year, and MS Dhoni and his boys would want to continue their unbeaten run, to reach the finals. Journey in ICC World T20 2014: 1st match: Defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets 2nd match: Defeated West Indies by 7 wickets 3rd match: Defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets 4th match: Defeated Australia by 73 runs South Africa, despite having world class players in their squad, haven’t performed according to their potential in the series. Their margins of victory have been close in all the three matches they have won, the reason being, they haven`t clicked as a unit so far in the series. Journey in ICC World T20 2014: 1st match: Sri Lanka won by 5 runs 2nd match: Defeated New Zealand by 2 runs 3rd match: Defeated Netherlands by 6 runs 4th match: Defeated England by 3 runs The team management would want senior players like Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, Dale Steyn to deliver as a team. The pacers haven’t got much success for the team. In the match against New Zealand, Morne Morkel conceded 50 runs from his four overs and the Proteas had almost lost that match as a result of the 19th over bowled by him. Imran Tahir has been a revelation for them throughout this series, and once again, the onus will be on Dale Steyn to get early breakthroughs for the team.
