New Zealand innings:

Over 15.3 || Score 60/10

Herath has been brought back to bowl his final over. Williamson charged down the wicket off the first ball, it cleared covers but as a result of a big mess, Williamson is run-out! Trent Boult is the last man in. He defends just one ball and edges the third one to Jayawardene at the slip cordon! It's all over for the Kiwis. What a spell Herath has bowled today. Where has been all this while we wonder? It looked like Sri Lanka had scored 20-30 runs short, but Lanka have comprehensively won the match by 59 runs!

Herath to continue. Taylor survived a close lbw appeal when he missed one from Herath which spun away and hit him on the back leg. The replays suggested that would have been out. But that won't cost Lanka much as Taylor failed to pick a wrong one from Herath and this time the umpire was convinced! Taylor is out lbw! James Neesham is the new man in. And he's bowled first ball! It was pitched up by Herath, it spun into the batsmen and Neesham was completely bamboozled. That is a massive over from Herath. New Zealand are under tremendous pressure now. Herath has bowled two overs, both were maidens and he has picked three wickets!

==============================================================

New Zealand have won the toss and Brendon McCullum has decided to bowl first.

Sri Lanka and New Zealand are up against each other in a do-or-die match. Both the teams currently have four points from three matches and the team that wins the match today, will be through to the semis, with South Africa being the second team from Group 1.

Sri Lanka were outshined in their previous game against England, where Alex Hales scored an incredible century and snatched the victory from them. Mahela and Dilshan were among the runs in the previous game, but the team would want them to score runs convincingly, as even though Mahela scored 89 runs against England, he was dropped on two occasions. Sri Lanka's mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis proved to be very ineffective in the previous game and the team management would want him to delivery in the must-win game.

New Zealand have had a mixed tournament so far. All their key batsmen – Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor and skipper Brendon McCullum have all scored some crucial knocks, but they really need to fire together in today's match to take their side into the semis.
