Mithali Raj hit a fine unbeaten century (103*) as India overhaul Pakistan’s total of 192 with fours overs to spare and registered a comprehensive 6-wicket consolation win over the arch-rival.

Mithali Raj continued her dominance as she took India almost close to the winning score. Mithali was playing on 82 while Reema Malhotra (18*) giving her support. India needed 26 runs from 8 overs with 6 wickets remaining.

Captain Mitha Raj completed a fine half-century as India were slowly going towards the winning target. After 35 overs India were 135/4. Reema Malhotra was giving her company. India lost Harmanpreet Kaur (16)and Sulakshana Naik (3) in bwteen.

Skipper Mithali Raj was leading the Indian fightback along with her deputy Harmanpreet Kaur as India reached 91/2 while chasing 193 for a consolation win. India are already out of the tournament after two crushing defeats against England and Sri Lanka.

India have reached fifty run-mark but they have lost a big wicket in opener Thirush Kamini for 26. Bismah Maroof took her wicket. Mithali Raj was looking good for her 17 off 43 balls with two fours.

Indian batswomen continued to take cautious approach to their chase as India made 36/1 after 10 overs. Thirush Kamini was again looked to be in good touch as she was unbeaten on 22 off 37 balls. She has already slammed 4 boundaries in her innings.

Chasing 193 to win, India lost opener Poonam Raut early. Qanita Jalil bowled her for just 4. After Poonam’s departure, skipper Mithali Raj and Thirush Kamini played very cautiously. After 5 overs, Indian women were 16/1.

Pakistan have scored 192 for the loss of 7 wickets in their quota of 50 overs. They have recovered very well after early wickets had put them on the back foot. Nida Dar with 68* off 83 balls was the highest scorer for the tourists. Abidi (58) also played a good innings to lead their team to a respectable total. For India Nagarajan Niranjana was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 35 runs.

Pakistan have lost another wicket, this time its Abidi who has got out after scoring a fine 58. India will be looking to claw their way back into this match now that the partnership has been broken.

Pakistan are going really well here and have recovered from the initial fall of wickets. This partnership is proving to be very vital for the tourists. Abidi has reached has half century and she has played with ease and aggression.

Pakistan are building up a good partnership here. Indian bowlers are toiling hard but have not been able to break this partnership.
