INDIA WIN!

MS Dhoni hit the winning runs with a thick outside edge that ran down to the third man boundary for a four.

OVERS 36// RUNS 171// WICKETS 6

Five singles off that Smith over. The finishing line is now in sight for the Indian batsmen and they are knocking off these remaining runs rather easily.

OVERS 35// RUNS 166// WICKETS 6

The decision of Holder to persist with Samuel despite Taylor having overs up his sleeve his baffling. However, Ashwin and Dhoni have not looked to go after the spinner yet.

OVERS 35// RUNS 164// WICKETS 6

After picking up four singles in the over, Dhoni forces the ball through the cover region to pick up three more runs. The skipper moved to 31 off 44.

OVERS 34// RUNS 155// WICKETS 6

Marlon Samuels was introduced into the attack. Holder is probably thinking the Indian batsmen could go for big shots against him and end up committing a mistake. Two rund came off that over.

OVERS 33// RUNS 153// WICKETS 6

Both Dhoni and Ashwin have played as per the demand of the situation, knocking off singles and not going for expansive shots. The duo picked up 5 runs from that Roach over.

OVERS 32// RUNS 148// WICKETS 6

Russel's short and wide ball was met with a fierce Dhoni uppercut for a six over third man. The skipper picked up a single off the next ball with a controlled pull shot. Sensible as ever from MSD!

OVERS 31// RUNS 138// WICKETS 6

Ravichandran Ashwin joined Dhoni out in the middle post Jadeja's dismissal. This is India's last recognized batting pair.

Sanjay Manjrekar offers his his perspective on India's run chase.

OVERS 30// RUNS 135// WICKETS 6

GONE!

Jadeja miscued a pull shot off Russell's shot ball to be holed out at deep square leg. Samuel fumbled but managed to hold on to the catch.

Jadeja c Samuels b Russell 13 (23b)

Players have taken a drinks break. India require another 51 runs with 5 wickets and 21 overs remaining.

OVERS 29// RUNS 132// WICKETS 5

Jerome Taylor was brought back into the attack. Holder realizes the importance of getting a quick wicket now. Dhoni and Jadeja have subdued the bowling attack.

OVERS 28// RUNS 128// WICKETS 5

Jadeja clobbered Russell over mid-on to score his second boundary. The bowler followed it up with a vicious shot ball that Jadeja fended off uncomfortably. India require another 55 runs with 5 wickets and 22 overs remaining

OVERS 27// RUNS 122// WICKETS 5

Smith bowled a wide delivery that was crunched through the covers by Jadeja. The left-hander almost flat-batted that ball.

OVERS 26// RUNS 118// WICKETS 5

Four runs picked up from that Holder over. MS Dhoni has batted sensibly as ever but Jadeja has been taking his chances.

OVERS 25// RUNS 114// WICKETS 5

Smith bowled another tight over conceding only 1 run. Holder feels he can give him another breakthrough here.

India should have sent in Ashwin and not Jadeja after Raina's wicket, opines Tom Moody.

Former Zimbabwe pacer Mpumelelo Mbangwa feels we have a game our hands.

OVERS 24// RUNS 113// WICKETS 5

Ravindra Jadeja came out to bat after Raina's dismissal. Plenty of pressure on him and the skipper now to guide India to a win. Dhoni tried to pull Holder's short ball and top edged it over the keeper for a lucky boundary.

OVERS 23/ RUNS 107// WICKETS 5

Dwayne Smith was introduced into the attack. Dhoni, Raina and Smith know each other well from their time at CSK. However, the bowler does no favors to Raina by picking his wicket. The ball was not really a wicket-taking one, but Raina tried to slap it with a cut and resulted in nicking it straight into Ramdin's gloves.

Raina c Ramdin b Smith 22 (25b)

OVERS 22// RUNS 103// WICKETS 4

Skipper Holder brought himself back into the attack and tested Raina with short-pitched stuff. The left-hander awkwardly pulled a shot delivery that fell just short off the mid-wicket fielder. Final ball of that over had Raina pulling again to a short delivery down the leg only to glove it past the keeper for a boundary.

OVERS 21// RUNS 97// WICKETS 4

Four runs came off that 21st over. Raina has given the bowlers that odd chance. Holder and the West Indian team will believe they could get the left-hander out quickly.

Spin king Shane Warne predicts a nail-biting finish at Perth.

OVERS 20// RUNS 93// WICKETS 4

Raina crisply timed Roach's delivery to send it straight down the ground for a boundary. The left-hander has looked positive and attacked any punishable balls that have been bowled at him.

OVERS 19// RUNS 84// WICKETS 4

MS Dhoni came out to bat after Rahane's dismissal. Russell banged in a short ball to him and it went past everything including the keeper.

Gibbs thinks the Indian skipper is bound to take India through to a win.

OVERS 18// RUNS 78// WICKETS 4

Sloppy field at cover point saw Raina pick up three runs off a no ball from Roach. Rahane failed to capitalize on the free-hit. However, he did make the bowler pay hitting him over extra-cover for a boundary. However, Roach exacted revenge of the next ball. Rahane tried to run down the ball to third man but it nicked the edge of his bat and went straight to Ramdin. Rahane was not happy with the umpires decision and went for the review. The snicko showed the tiniest of edges and the umpire did not find enough evidence to overturn his decision.

Sun Risers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody analyzes Virat Kohli's dismissal.

OVERS 17// RUNS 70// WICKETS 3

OVERS 16// RUNS 67// WICKETS 3

Suresh Raina walked out to the middle after Kohli's wicket and got off the mark with well controlled pull down to long leg boundary for a single.

OVERS 15// RUNS 63// WICKETS 3

Russell banged in the ball short and Rahane picked up the length quickly to pull it over square leg umpire's head for his first boundary. The ball crossed the rope after one bounce. Fantastic shot!

Russell bowled another short ball, this time executing it better, that Kohli top edged straight into the hands of deep square leg . India's vice-captain was reluctant to go back to the pavilion and had a brief discussion with the umpire before eventually leaving the field.

Kohli c Samuels b Russell 33 (36b)

OVERS 14// RUNS 56// WICKETS 2

MAIDEN!

Roach bowled an excellent over to Rahane. Windies need more such overs to build pressure on the Indian batsmen.

OVERS 13// RUNS 56// WICKETS 2

Second bowling change by Holder had Andre Russell introduced into the attack. After a slow start, Kohli has now raced to 32 off 34 balls.

OVERS 12// RUNS 50// WICKETS 2

Fifty came up for India in the 12th over as Rahane picked up a single to open his account.

Kohli has been magical as ever playing deliveries off his pads. Former England bowler Alex Tudor has some advice for the Windies pacers.

OVERS 11// RUNS 49// WICKETS 2

Taylor rapped Kohli on his pads and the fielders joined the bowler in a big appeal. Dharmasena stood firm and the replay vindicated him.

Kohli then responded with two back-to-back boundaries through the mid-wicket region as Taylor strayed on to his pads.

OVERS 10// RUNS 41// WICKETS 2

Holder made the first bowling change and introduced Kemar Roach in to the attack. He strayed on Kohli's pads and the right-hander made no mistake in flicking him for a boundary through the mid-wicket region.

OVERS 9// RUNS 32// WICKETS 2

Kohli got on the front foot and executed the most glorious on-drive off Taylor's bowling. He has 15 runs off 18 balls now.

OVERS 1// RUNS 2// WICKETS 0
