New Delhi: Security was beefed up at Indian skipper MS Dhoni's residence in Ranchi post the team's defeat in the semi-final match against Australia in ICC World Cup 2015.
Even though Dhoni was the highest scorer (65) for the defending champions, his team wasn't up to the mark as they recieved a thrashing from the Aussies.
The security has been increased fearing the wrath from angry fans who in the past pelted stones at Dhoni's residence.
India's seven-match winning streak at the world cup was ended by Michael Clarke & Co. who posted 328 runs batting first in Sydney.
In reply, even though Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma provided a 76-run stand for the first-wicket partnership, India lost wickets at regular intervals and eventually fell short of the target.
