New Delhi: India have reached to the semi-finals of the ICC World Twenty20 2016 by winning three out of their four the group stage matches.
Even after started their WT20 campaign on a poor note by losing their opening tie against New Zealand, Mahendra Singh Dhoni & Co got their winning momentum back as they went on to beat Pakistan, Bangladesh and Australia, respectively, to seal a berth in the semis.
India have a decent track record as far as this tournament is concerned.
India won the inaugural edition of the World T20 in South Africa, when they beat arch-rivals Pakistan by five runs in the summit clash.
In fact, in the last edition, Men in Blue reached till the final of the coveted event, but they eventually lost to Sri Lanka by six wickets.
If India beat West Indies in the 2nd semi-final on Thursday at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, Team India would make it to the final for the third time under the captaincy of India's most successful skipper Dhoni.
Now only time will tell whether India make it to the finals of WT20 for the 2nd consecutive time.
