New Delhi: In-form Indian cricket team will be taking on mighty South Africa on Saturday in a warm-up game at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai in the ongoing ICC World Twenty20.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led India are brimming with confidence after having won three consecutive T20I series. They also beat West Indies convincingly in the first warm-up encounter at the Eden Gardens on Thursday.
South Africa come from a 1-2 series loss against Australia at home and will be eager to get the winning form back. They have a strong outfit and will be trying out some combinations ahead of the main draw.
The Proteas had beaten India 3-0 in a three-match T20I series back in 2015. But since then an influx of senior and young players have changed the shape of the Indian side, who have lost justy one of their previous 11 T20I games.
Here is a look at the players who are expected to make a difference for their side.
Yuvraj Singh (India): The veteran southpaw has been getting back to his usual best and played some vital knocks in the Asia Cup which boosted his confidence. Yuvi needed to get time in the middle and that was fulfilled in Bangladesh. In the first warm-up match, he batted at No. 3 and scored a well made 37 runs. Against a powerful South African bowling unit, Yuvi will be eager to score some runs as he will be hugely tested.
David Miller (South Africa): The middle order batsman is in fine groove and his match-winning skills is so vital for the Proteas. Miller comes at a time from where he can launch the game and run away nwith it. The experienced IPL campaigner will be facing a big test from the in-form India spinners and his approach will be the key here.
