Lendl Simmons becomes 4th player to withdraw from West Indies' ICC World Twenty20 squad

New Delhi: After Darren Bravo, Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard, Lendl Simmons has become the latest West Indies player to have withdrawn from the 2016 ICC World Twenty20.

The West Indies Cricket Board on Saturday confirmed the 31-year-old right-hander's pull-out on Saturday. His replacement expected to be named in the coming days.

Earlier, batsman Bravo, off-spinner Narine and all-rounder Pollard have opted out of the March-April tournament citing various reasons.

West Indies play English county Warwickshire in Dubai on Sunday before travelling to Kolkata on Monday for the tournament.

West Indies are in Group 1 along with England, Sri Lanka, South Africa and a qualifier. The tournament begins on March 8.
