New Delhi: Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi skipped his team's training session on Tuesday.

Coach Waqar Younis informed the members of the media that the all-rounder was not well, adding that he was 'hoping' Afridi would be fit for the match on Wednesday.

The bowling legend also backed Afridi over his recent comments, stating he found nothing wrong in his choice of words.

The 44-year-old further added that Pakistan will have to be at their best in order to overcome Bangladesh in their World Twenty20 opener.

Fast bowler Mohammad Sami also sustained a toe injury during a practice session on Sunday and missed Pakistan's warm-up tie against Sri Lanka.
