READ: Virat Kohli addresses teammates, fans in emotional note after India's ICC World Twenty20 exit

New Delhi: While either England or West Indies will be crowned new T20 kings of the world on Sunday, Virat Kohli will take home the player of the tournament award.

India's vice-captain was in sparking form in the ICC World Twenty20, batting at a different level altogether.

Kohli's superhuman effort was not enough to take India past the Windies in the semi-final.

However, the right-hander enjoyed tremendous success in the tournament, which will be remembered for his batting brilliance.

After a heartbreaking exit from the tournament, Kohli on Saturday posted a rather emotional note for his teammates and fans.

We win some we lose some, but memories are something we take ahead with us, we move ahead learning from our mistakes and improve each day. It was electrifying to experience your joys and happiness and energies throughout. We come out stronger and better next time.
