New Delhi: West Indian cricketers are known for their entertainment value and swag. After playing an unbeaten match-winning knock of 85 off 66 balls in the final of the ICC World Twenty20 against England at Eden Gardens, veteran cricketer Marlon Samuels showed both the characters.
In the post match-conference, Samuels decided to show his boots to journalists and cameras as he sat in the chair with his spikes placed on the table.
Initially, his position looked a bit awkward, but later few journalists felt that as he came to the conference with his pads on, he might be cramping for leg space.
However, few media persons found it rude and felt that he was disrespectful towards the media and his individual performance was running high in his head.
In the latter part of the conference, Samuels also lashed out spin wizard Shane Warne and others who earlier took a dig at him and the West Indies team.
In fact, the senior West Indian cricketer was also fined 30 per cent of his match fee for using abusive language directed at Ben Stokes at Eden Gardens yesterday.
