New Delhi: South African selectors on Thursday appointed attacking right-hander Faf du Plessis as the skipper for upcoming three Twenty20 internationals against New Zealand in December.
This move was taken to reduce some load off regular limited-overs captain AB de Villiers. Selectors also included a new wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock, to relieve de Villiers of his burden.
Faf du Plessis played some fantastic knocks against Australia in the recently concluded series and he was finally rewarded for his good show, of late.
