New Delhi: As Indian pacers continue to disappoint in the ongoing Test series against England, Indian selectors have included Delhi medium-pacer Parvinder Awana for the fourth and final Test where a lot is at stake.
Awana has been in great form in the ongoing Ranji Trophy where he has picked 16 wickets in seven innings so far.
Awana bowls at a pace of 130`s and early 140 on a regular basis. He has been very successful in the domestic circuit and it was a matter of time that he was selected to represent the country.
Awana, 25, has claimed 131 first-class wickets from 40 matches in his career at an average of 29 and he was very effective for Kings XI Punjab in the 2012 IPL season.
After suffering two consecutive defeats on home turf, the national selectors on Sunday axed bowling spearhead Zaheer Khan and batsman Yuvraj Singh from the squad for the fourth and final Test against England starting on Thursday.
