‘Overjoyed’ Pak fans celebrate ODI series win against India ‘with guns and drums’

Islamabad: Ecstatic Pakistani cricket fans celebrated their team’s series win over archrivals India, after the men in green clinched the three-match one-day international series at Kolkata’s Eden Garden stadium, by drum beating and dancing.

In some areas overjoyed Pakistani fans also celebrated the victory by firing into the air in Hyderabad and Karachi.

Pakistan defeated India by 85 runs in the second ODI showdown with bowlers shattering strong Indian bating line up, the News reports.

It was Pakistan’s 14th ODI victory over rival India, and news channels showed elated Pakistan team fans among them young girls and boys dancing in different parts of the country including Karachi and Lahore.
