Indian team to have three-day practice at CCI from Friday

The Indian cricket squad will have a three-day practice session at the Brabourne Stadium here from Friday ahead of the opening Test of the four-match series against England.

Mumbai: The Indian cricket squad will have a three-day practice session at the Brabourne Stadium here from Friday ahead of the opening Test of the four-match series against England commencing at Ahmedabad on November 15.
The team is set to practice in the afternoon on Friday and will have full day sessions on the following two days, Cricket Board sources said. Coach Duncan Fletcher is expected to arrive tonight from abroad to oversee the sessions, the sources added. On the first day, the team will use 10 net bowlers and on November 10 and 11, for the full day sessions, there will be 18 net bowlers, it was learnt. The team is set to fly to Ahmedabad on November 12 morning. The visitors are already in the Gujarat city preparing for the series which is being billed as a `revenge rubber` for India`s humiliating 0-4 whitewash in England in 2011. The remaining three Tests would be played at Mumbai (November 23-27), Kolkata (December 5-9) and Nagpur (December 13-17). The Indian Test squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Capt.), Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Cheteshwar Pujara, R Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Pragyan Ojha, Ajinkya Rahane, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma, Murali Vijay and Zaheer Khan.
