Hazlewood is having a good time on his Test debut, as he completed his five wicket haul on Thursday, at the Gabba.
After impressive spells on scorching and energy sapping yesterday, the lanky pacer broke the spine of Indian middle order to complete his five-for on Thursday.
On Day one, the 23-year-old scalped two crucial wickets in the form of Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara. But today he looked even more dangerous with his impeccable line, and returned with three more wickets, those of Ajinkya Rahane, MS Dhoni and R Ashwin.
All his three victims looked well set at the crease when the pacer got the better of them.
He used the bounce of Gabba to good effect and played a crucial role in restricting India on a total of 408.
He got all his wickets in a typical fast bowling style – either at slip cordon or edging it straight to the wicketkeeper.
Even after having seniors like Mitchell Johnson in the team, he took the responsibility to lead the bowling attack from the front.
His five wicket haul made him the the 33rd Australian to achieve the feat on debut.
