New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India gave permission to Indian cricketers to stay with their wives for the remaining series against Australia, according to the board's sources.
It would certainly be a nice Christmas gift for Indian cricketers, who earlier didn't get the permission to take their wives along on the long tour of Australia.
Earlier, after the 4-1 drubbing India had received in the Tests during their England tour, the Indian cricket board had decided there would be restrictions on the number of days, Wife and Girlfriend's (WAG's) will be allowed to spend time with the players on a foreign tour.
Though it's still unclear whether a player's girl-friend is allowed or not.
At the moment, India are trailing 2-0 in the four match Test series against the Aussies.
The third Test will kick-start from December 26th, which is scheduled to be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
After the Test series gets over, India will play a triangular ODI series, involving England, and the hosts.
