Sydney: India cricket team on Thursday attended an afternoon tea session hosted by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, at his official residence.

Members of Australian cricket team were also being part of the session.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), via their official Twitter account posted few pictures of the event in which Indian players were dressed in their casual Team India attires.

"The Indian cricket team was hosted for afternoon tea by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott on the first day of the new year, on Thursday," the BCCI said.

Where MS Dhoni, who recently hung his Test boots was not seen in the posted photos, newly appointed Test skippers of India and Australia -- Virat Kohli and Steven Smith --posed with Abbott in another picture.

In the on-going four-match Test series between India and Australia, where we have witnesses a lot verbal spats and sledding involving players from both the teams. But interestingly, during the event players from both the sides looked at ease with each other. And even posed for the official photo session with Abbott at Kirribilli House, his second official residence.

Australia have already sealed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but both the Team's will play the fourth and final Test of the series from January 6 at SCG.
