India vs Australia: VVS Laxman lauds selectors for recalling Yuvraj Singh in T20 squad

New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman on Thursday praised the Indian selectors for recalling Yuvraj Singh in T20 squad for the upcoming Australian tour.

Speaking to CNN IBN, Laxman said that it was a good move keeping in mind the ICC World T20 which will be hosted by India next year.

"The selectors have to be complemented. World Cup is not a stage to groom youngsters," he said.

Laxman also added that Yuvi will not only end India's middle-order woes but would also contribute with his left-arm spin bowling.

"In one-day cricket, India was lacking a finisher. Yuvraj Singh is one of the best finishers. With his slow left-arm spinner, he will be an added asset," he said.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) earlier announced the squads for the Australian tour where Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra made a comeback in the T20 squad.
