Geoffrey Boycott asks James Anderson to `zip up his foul-mouth` and let ball do the talking

Former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott, while hailing James Anderson as the country`s best bowler since Ian Botham, has urged the seamer to zip it up and bowl in light of his controversy with India`s Ravindra Jadeja.

Johannesburg: Former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott, while hailing James Anderson as the country`s best bowler since Ian Botham, has urged the seamer to zip it up and bowl in light of his controversy with India`s Ravindra Jadeja.
Judicial commissioner Gordon Lewis last week cleared Anderson of breaching the International Cricket Council (ICC)`s code of conduct after he clashed with Jadeja during the first Test at Trent Bridge that ended in a draw. The International Cricket Council confirmed that they would not appeal against the decision to clear Anderson over claims that he pushed and abused Jadeja with India alleging that the quarrel had escalated into a physical confrontation inside the pavilion, Sport24 reported. Boycott, while urging Anderson to modify his behaviour said that the Lancashire seamer should reflect on whether he wants to be remembered as one of the all-time great English seam bowlers or a foul-mouthed abusive bowler. Boycott said that to him it is a no-brainer and added that Anderson should zip it up and bowl.
