On stumps India were reeling at 112 for four. Now drawing the Test is looking a difficult task for India. On day four, first England got the two remaining Indian wickets within first six overs of the day and then declared their 2nd innings after swiftly scoring 205 runs, to set the target of 445 in front of India. But Indian top order once again disappointed as India lost four wickets cheaply. Now, if the tourists want to draw the Test they have to play till the end of Day 5, which is looking quite a difficult task as they have mere six wickets left. ============================================================== Over 35 || Score 90/4 Kohli Out! Poor form of Virat Kohli continues. Another wicket to Moeen Ali. India are reeling at 90 for four. Once again Indian top order failed to deliver. Rohit Sharma has walked in to bat after the fall of India's fourth wicket. Indian batsmen have disappointed in the Test. Two wickets in quick succession means, two new batsmen in the middle for the touring side. Root gave England their third breakthrough as he got the better of Shikhar Dhawan. Root bowled a perfect off spin which spun more than expected and it kissed Dhawan's willow and went inside the hands of Jordan, who was standing at first slip. Dhawan's poor run continues. Ajinkya Rahane joins Kohli in the middle. India need 359 runs to win this Test and they have seven wickets in hand. Now Kohli is looking a bit confident in the middle. Meanwhile, India have crossed the mark of fifty runs. Now Cook should called back his prime bowlers – Anderson and Broad – as they must be ready now to bowl another spell. ============================================================== Over 20 || Score 49/2 Indian batsmen – Kohli and Dhawan – are flirting with danger. Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes are bowling in tandem for the home side. Cook has so far used his bowlers quite well in this Test. Around 20 overs are still remaining today. Cheteshwar Pujara once again disappoints. In the first over of Moeen Ali, Pujara edged one ball and at slips Jordan took a smart low one-handed catch to send the India's one down back to the hut. India is in deep trouble now. It was not at all a wicket taking delivery. Virat Kohli joins Shikhar Dhawan in the middle after the fall of India's second wicket. Dhawan played the ball on the on-side and ran for a risky single, but Stuart Broad picked and hit the stumps within in a flash and Vijay fell slightly short of his crease. So the first wicket came in the form of a run-out for the home side. Cheteshwar Pujara is the new man in. Chris Woakes has been introduced into the attack as the first change. There role in the fourth innings of the 3rd Test is to stay at the crease for a longer period. And so far both of them have done a wonderful job. They are playing cautiously in the middle. It means now India need to score 444 runs in the fourth innings to win this Test. And if India chased the target successfully it would be a world record. But India probably won't take any kind of risk and try and play for a draw to retain the 1-0 lead in the series. A tough task for Indian batsmen to bat for one-and-a-half day, who got out for 330 runs in the first inings of the match. He reached to fifty-run mark in mere 38 balls with the help of eight boundaries. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni has brought Mohammed Shami back into the attack. Root is dealing in boundaries now. If India need to win this match then they have to make a fourth innings word record, as the lead has reached to 435. ============================================================== Over 35 || Score 161/3 Rain of boundaries as Root and Cook are scoring runs swiftly. In the last two overs came four boundaries. And with the help of that the lead has reached to 400 runs. England are undoubtedly in the drivers seat at the moment and are dictating terms. India are now just waiting for Cook's call to declare the innings. Time is going to play a crucial role in this match. ============================================================== Over 33 || Score 137/3 MS Dhoni once again gave the ball to their spinners Jadeja and Rohit as the ball is turning a bit. Meanwhile, English skipper Cook smashed a boundary off Jadeja to complete his second fifty of the match. Now the lead has swell to 376 runs. Tall Indian seamer Pankaj Singh is bowling in tandem with spinner Jadeja. Singh has bowled well in patches so far in the Test and was a bit unlucky as well. Meanwhile, Bell opened his account in style with the help of a boundary off Pankaj. And off the next ball he smashed another boundary though point region. It seems as if England are is no mood to waste any time as they have now started dealing in boundaries. ============================================================== Lunch Break Over 20.5 || Score 80/2 Ballance Out! With the wicket of Garry Ballance, umpires call for Lunch. Ballance tried to place the ball towards on-side off Jadeja but a short leg fielder took a sharp catch as umpire raise his finger. But in the replays it was clear that ball touched the pad of Ballance, rather than his bat or glove. But first session of the day belonged to the host as they first picked the remaining two Indian wickets in quick succession and then added 80 runs in 21 overs at the cost of two wickets. England are right at the top of the Test and have a golden opportunity to win the third Test to level the five match Test series 1-1. Rohit and Sharma are getting a fair bit of turn from the wicket, but Ballance and Cook are not missing a single opportunity to score runs. Ballance has been dealing in boundaries at the moment and has quickly reached to 38 in mere 43 deliveries with the help of five boundaries and a six. Dhoni is juggling his bowlers as he introduced part time spinner Murali Vijay into the attack in the 20th over. ============================================================== Over 16 || Score 65/1 Surprisingly, Dhoni gave the ball Rohit Sharma to ball some off-spin. In-form Ballance is looking rock solid at the moment as he collected two more boundaries off Shami. More importantly he opening full face of the bat and scoring runs via proper cricketing shots. A sheer delight to watch! Meanwhile, Ballance launched Rohit for a six straight over his head in his first over. After bowling five overs from Pankaj Singh, Dhoni rested him. But Bhvi is still bowling from one end. The reason behind continuing with Bhuvi is that he is bowling on right areas and troubling the English batsmen with the new ball. Length ball by Bhuvi and English opener, Robson, got the outside edge of his bat and this time Dhawan did no mistake and took a sharp catch at first slip. In form Gary Ballance is the new man in for England after the loss of Robson's wicket. Dubutant, Pankaj Singh is sharing the new ball with Bhuvi. English skipper is yet to open his account. ============================================================== Cook decided not to give follow-on to India. Meanwhile, England openers – Sam Robson and Alastair Cook – are in the middle to start their second innings, Whereas, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the most successful bowler in the first innings for India, has the new ball in hand. Another short ball and this time Anderson's victim is Mohammed Shami. And with the wicket of Shami, England prime bowler completed his five wicket haul in the innings. India trailed by 239 runs in the first innings as they got all out on 330. England are right at the top of the match. Short ball by the speedster and Dhoni went for it but only managed to get the outside edge of his bat and the ball landed inside the gloves of wicketkeeper Buttler. Pankaj Singh walked in to join Shami in the middle. Third day of the third Test also belonged to the home side, as they took seven Indian wickets in the entire day. After at stumps India were 323 for eight and needed 47 more runs to avoid the follow-on. England`s prime seamers – Anderson and Broad – shared six wickets between each other, whereas, spinner Moeen Ali scalped two wickets. Indian batsmen played some poor shots which cost India dearly. Now England`s grip over the match has become stronger. Now MS Dhoni will try to bat as long as he can with the tail-enders to kill the time, as from here on they will play for a draw to retain the 1-0 lead in the series.
