New Delhi: India captain Virat Kohli on Thursday produced a sensational catch at first slip to send back Joe Root.

Batting first, England were cruising along with opener Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings stitching a 99-run stand.

But Ravindra Jadeja removed Cook in the 26th over, bringing Root in the centre. But the talented England no. 3 did't last long, thanks to this catch:

He lasted 41 balls, and scored 21 runs. Cook reached 2000 runs against India in the period, but a magical delivery from Jadeja got the better of England captain.

That happened off the second ball Jadeja's first over. Jadeja got enough purchase from the pitch to surprise Cook, but it was Parthiv Patel, who rocked the wicket with a brilliant stumping.

Here's the video of Cook's dismissal.

India have taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. England need to win the Mumbai Test to force a draw, given they also win the last match, scheduled at Chennai.
