Umesh Yadav got the breakthrough for India as he dismissed Brendon McCullum (42) thereby ending his 72-run partnership with Kane Williamson. McCullum played 130 balls and played a crucial role in the morning session for New Zealand.

Both McCullum and Williamson are playing well against the spinners. They are not scoring boundaries but are very careful in their approach.

The play has resumed after a delay of two hours.

Good news. The covers are coming off, the rain has stopped but the conditions are overcast.

After rain shortened the third day’s play, the beginning of the fourth day's play between India and New Zealand has also been delayed.

The play was scheduled to begin at 9 am on Sunday, one hour ahead of the scheduled time but persistent raised caused a delay for the third day in a row.
