New Delhi: The new Director at the MRF Pace Foundation Glenn McGrath came out in support of Sachin Tendulkar stating that the retirement cal should be left to Sachin and asserted that the Indian batsmen will know when to go.
In an interview to a leading daily, McGrath said, “As a batsman, he has seen it all and if he feels, there are areas to work on, he will do that. And I know you`ll ask whether Sachin should retire, and my answer would be `Leave it to Sachin. He will know when to go," he said.
The furor over Sachin Tendulkar’s mode of dismissal has been the headline story and criticism on the ‘Master Blaster’ has been very widespread.
Sachin Tendulkar getting clean bowled on Indian pitches in a jam- packed stadium is nothing less than a nightmare for Indian fans. And the fans have gone through such a sight thrice now in Tendulkar’s successive innings against New Zealand in the home series.
Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar and another veteran Sanjay Manjrekar had opined that old age is taking its toll on Sachin’s footwork. Call for his retirementare doing the rounds but his supporters are not deterred.
