New Delhi: Former Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor on Sunday made headlines after goofing up with a tweet regarding Mahendra Singh Dhoni's international career.

Taylor, who quit international cricket at the age of 29 'keeping in mind his family's needs', on Sunday expressed surprise after finding Dhoni's name in India's playing XI.

The fans went in a state of shock as Taylor tweeted, "I thought MSD retired from tests? #indvsnz."

The Test series between India and New Zealand ended on October 10 after India comprehensively won the third Test by 321 runs in just four days.

The wicketkeeper batsman soon realised his mistake and said he thought there was one more match to go in the series. "Apologies! I thought there was one more test, losing my mind," he said.

To make things more clear for the fans, Taylor said that he was under the impression that there was one more Test to go and was suprised to see Dhoni's name in the playing XI on a cricket website.

"I'm on beach with my family.I saw on Cricinfo he was in the playing X1 but miss read ODI part.Thought there was 1 more test," he replied to a fan.

After a 3-0 whitewash in the Test series, Men in Blue continued their dominance against the Kiwis as they regisered a six-wicket win in first ODI to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
