Several key milestones were achieved in this Test. Ravichandran Ashwin became the fastest Indian bowler to enter the 200-wicket club in Tests.

While this record was talked about at great length, cricket experts failed to notice a rather unique record that was set in this Test.

1193 runs were scored at Kanpur by both sides. Interestingly, neither team managed to register a century.

Hence this match now holds the following record.
