The Test, apart from being the opener of the long home season, was India's 500th match in whites.

The end result too was one that Indians fans won't forget in a hurry.

Virat Kohli and his side put on a clinical show at Green Park, taking a 1-0 lead in the series with a 197-run win.

Several key milestones were achieved in this Test. Ravichandran Ashwin became the fastest Indian bowler to enter the 200-wicket club in Tests.

1193 runs were scored at Kanpur by both sides. Interestingly, neither team managed to register a century.
