Nagpur: Following is the statistical highlights on the first day of the third and final cricket Test between India and New Zealand here on Saturday.

  • Kane Williamson’s third-ball duck is his first in Tests.
  • With his excellent knocks -- 131 at Ahmedabad and 69 at Hyderabad -- Williamson is averaging 51.00 in the series, aggregating 204 in four innings.
  • Jesse Ryder (59 off 113 balls) has recorded his sixth Test fifty -- his second against India.
  • Ryder enjoys an excellent record against India, aggregating 579 (average 64.33) runs in nine innings (six Tests), including three hundreds and two fifties.
  • With Martin Guptill’s catch, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (65 in 39 innings) has equalled Garry Alexander’s tally of 65 catches as captain-cum-wicketkeeper in 35 innings.
  • Brendon McCullum is the top run-getter in the present series (339 at an average of 113.00), surpassing Virender Sehwag’s tally of 324 (average 108.00), including one hundred and two fifties.
  • Hopkins is averaging just 12.00 in the present series – 36 in four innings.
  • Ross Taylor is averaging 26.75 – 107 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 48.63.
  • The top three bowlers in the present series are – Daniel Vettori – 11 at 30.36, Pragyan Ojha – 9 at 41.55 and S Sreesanth – 8 at 40.12.
