Johannesburg: Australian vice-captain Brad Haddin said that his team is determined to press for a five-nil sweep of the Ashes series which will lift them from fifth to third on world Test rankings and to further avenge its recent defeats at England`s hands.
Haddin believes that motivation would not be a problem for the hosts in the fourth Test against England starting on Boxing Day, saying that Australia would play the game in the same spirit and with the same fight that they have shown throughout his Test career. According to Sport24, Haddin further said that Australia is already aiming not just at the No 3 ranking, but to the summit, adding that they want to challenge themselves to be the best cricketers they can be as a group. However, Haddin said the real Test of Australia`s aspiration to become No 1 would likely come in the tour of South Africa , adding that they are hungry to achieve the challenge of beating the best.
