New Delhi: Indian middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane slammed his maiden ton on Indian soil against South Africa on Day 2 of the final Test at Feroz Shah Kotla on Friday.

Rahane's ton was the first century of the series.

118 vs New Zealand at Wellington: Rahane slammed his first ton under testing conditions for Indian batsmen on Kiwi soil. After skittling Kiwis out for 192 in their first innings, as a result of Rahane's brilliant ton, India posted 438 runs in their first innings.

103 vs England at Lord's: While the other Indian batsmen collapsed like a pack of cards against a world class English seam attack, Rahane battled from one end and slammed his second Test ton.

147 vs Australia at Melbourne: On his first tour to Australia, Rahane followed his two good knocks of 62 and 81 runs respectively with a formidable century at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Rahane was also involved in a stupendous 262-run stand with Virat Kohli (169) for the fourth wicket.

126 vs Sri Lanka at Colombo: Having proved his mettle away from home, Rahane his first ton in Sri Lanka. India won the match by 278 runs and Rahane played a crucial role in the comprehensive win.
