Ind vs SA: Dale Steyn & Co major concern for Indian batsmen ahead of Test series?

New Delhi: On Indian tracks, spinners have always been a force to reckon with. However, ahead of the highly-anticipated Test series between India and South Africa, it seems that the major concern for home team batsmen is facing Dale Steyn.

As the first Test at Mohali, scheduled to take place between November 5 to 9, is getting closer, Indian top-order have started talking about the South African speedster.

If regular Indian opener Murali Vijay is looking forward to face Steyn & Co. then KL Rahul, who shared the Sunrisers Hyderabad dugout with the 32-year-old is a bit conscious about the late movement the fast bowler gets.

"Fielding or keeping wickets when he is bowling is one thing, batting against him with the red ball moving and doing a bit, like I did today, is a different ball game. He gets the ball to move late and I found it a little hard today. I love playing with him, and playing against him will be a different challenge that I look forward to," said Rahul.

But for Vijay, who played a courageous 97-run knock against the Proteas in 2013-14 at Durban, feels that it's going to be a good challenge.

“I am really looking forward to the battle against the likes of Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel. South Africa have always been a good side and I see the series as a good challenge. I have gained full fitness now and I’m keen on getting the side off to a good start,” Vijay told Times of India.
