India vs South Africa 2015: Do-or-die situation for Proteas

Hashim Amla's form is a major area of concern for South Africa.

New Delhi: After the second Test was washed out, visiting South African team needs a result in Nagpur to keep the Freedom series alive.

With home team already taking a lead of 1-0, Saffers can't afford to lose either of the remaining two matches.

Proteas are facing injury crisis at the moment, with two of their speedsters struggling with fitness issues. Vernon Philander has already been ruled out of the series, whereas, strike-bowler Dale Steyn is still doubtful for the 3rd Test as he is nursing a groin injury.

Besides, skipper Hashim Amla's form is another area of concern for South Africa. The right-handed batsman is struggling to even stay at the crease, let alone scoring runs.

The way Indian tweakers are performing, specially the main spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and comeback man Ravindra Jadeja, visitors really have to pull up their socks, if they want to continue their unbeaten run on the road.

Third Test of the high-profile series starts on November 25 in Nagpur.
