Nobody can say Mohali Test was boring or uneventful: AB de Villiers

New Delhi: The Mohali Test lasted only three days, which led to a huge debate with regards to the nature of the pitch.

While many felt that such tracks end up doing more harm to Test cricket than good, other believed its part and parcel of the game.

"Nobody could say the first Test in Mohali was boring or uneventful, but we were obviously very disappointed to lose by 108 runs inside three days.

Much has been said and written about the preparation and state of what was a dry , turning pitch, but we're not complaining. Batting was always going to be difficult from start to finish, but the wicket is always the same for both teams. That is the game," wrote AB de Villiers in his column for the Times of India.

So, 0-1 down in the four Test series, we head to Bengaluru. We remain optimistic because, in adverse circumstances, we competed well in Mohali and showed we have the firepower to compete," he added further.
